14.7

文中十段，皆先問、後答。又先起明問、後解問明。今初。問中二：先彰問答之主。問覺首者，彼得此門故，緣起深義不覺則流轉故。二「佛子心性」下正顯問端，略啟五門：一問所為、二述問意、三定所問、四會相違、五釋本文。

In the text, the ten sections all have inquiry first and answer after. Furthermore, they first raise the clarifying inquiry and later explain the clarifying of the inquiry. Now, as for the first: within the inquiry, there are two parts: first, the masters of inquiry and answer are revealed. Buddhaprabha is questioned because he has attained this gate, and if one is not awakened to the profound meaning of pratītyasamutpāda, one drifts in transmigration. Second, from 'Son of the Buddha, the nature of the mind' downward, it directly shows the beginning of the inquiry, opening roughly five gates: 1. the purpose of the inquiry; 2. stating the intent of the inquiry; 3. determining what is inquired; 4. reconciling contradictions; 5. explaining the basic text.
