17.33

初來意者，上由致既彰，正宗宜顯，故次來也。又前辨所依佛德，今辨能依十住，故次來也。

First, the reason for its occurrence: since the preceding genesis has already been made manifest, the main theme should be revealed; therefore it follows next. Furthermore, the preceding distinguished the Buddha's virtues on which one relies, and now distinguishes the ten abodes that are able to rely; therefore it follows next.
