Fourth is Forest of Fearlessness (Abhayavana), named so because through the power of faith and joy, he hears what is profound without fear. The verses praise the virtue of the benefit of having faith and commitment deepening. The ten verses are divided into two parts: the first is the sphere of what is believed in, meaning that the essence of the dharmakāya is identical to the dharmadhātu, and the jñānakāya realizes the limit of the dharmadhātu, causing the bodies of response and application to pervade without moving. The latter nine are the benefits of hearing and believing, divided into five: the first verse is departing from evil through hearing and believing; the next two explain that it is difficult to hear; the next three clarify attaining buddhahood through hearing and believing, using past attainments to verify present and future ones; the fourth is one verse clarifying that hearing must have a cause, encouraging sentient beings to give rise to vows; the fifth consists of two verses revealing the benefits of undertaking practice.
