22.7

今初三昧分。功德林入者，為眾首故，表說十行眾德建立故。承佛神力，是入定因。入菩薩善思惟者，顯定別名。揀因異果，故名菩薩；巧順事理揀擇無礙，無心成事，名善思惟。

Now, the first, the section on samādhi. Guṇakānana enters it because he is the leader of the assembly, signifying that expounding the ten practices establishes all virtues. Relying on the Buddha's spiritual power is the cause of entering samādhi. Entering 'bodhisattva's good contemplation' reveals the specific name of the samādhi. Distinguishing cause from fruit, it is named 'bodhisattva'; skillfully conforming to phenomena and noumenon with unobstructed discernment, accomplishing tasks without intention, is named 'good contemplation'.
