Second, as for the geya, its twenty-five verses are divided into two parts: the first verse verse praises the roots of goodness dedicated, containing all [facets] completely; the remaining twenty-four verses verse in parallel both the dedication of the roots of goodness preceding and the concluding cultivation that accomplishes benefits. In this [second part] there are two sections: first, eleven verses praise the two passages on following characteristics; second, thirteen verses praise the two passages on being free from characteristics. In the first of these, there are three sections: first, eight verses praise [the dedication] toward bodhi, which itself has three parts—the first four verses praise the aforementioned adornment of lands, the next three and a half verses praise the adornment with human jewels, and the latter half-verse comprehensively subsumes the dedications; second, one verse beginning with 'The bodhisattva thus...' verses the dedication toward sentient beings; third, two verses beginning with 'In the ten directions...' verse the concluding cultivation that accomplishes virtues, comprehensively versing the five passages. Second, the passage beginning with 'The bodhisattva well contemplates...' verses the two passages on being free from characteristics, within which are three parts: first, seven verses praise the prior [dedication toward] bodhi free from characteristics, versified in combination with the previous seeing of reality and freedom from delusion to show that these two complete each other; next, two verses praise [the dedication toward] sentient beings free from characteristics; finally, four verses praise the conclusion of cultivation that accomplishes virtues free from characteristics, wherein the first two verses praise the virtue of the purity of realms, and the last two verses praise the virtue of wisdom of the two forms of emptiness. The fifth dedication is concluded.
