The fourth is the pariṇāmanā that reaches everywhere. The prose also has two parts: first the practice of this station, and second the fruit of this station. The former also has three parts, namely mentioning [the name], explaining it, and concluding. Now, the first mentions the name and raises the inquiry. "Reaches" refers to the roots of goodness that are capable of reaching, along with their articles of offering. "Everywhere" refers to the realms of offering reached. That is to say, through the great vow one causes these roots of goodness and articles of offering to reach everywhere across all times and places, making offerings to all fields of merit in accordance with what should be offered. This is because the Benye [jing] says: "By the power of the great vow, entering into all Buddha-lands, to make offerings to all Buddhas." However, in accordance with the text below, whether causes or fruits, all reach everywhere; to mention ten matters briefly: (1) the dharmakāya reaches everywhere, because the body of the tathāgatagarbha is universally pervasive; (2) because the dharmakāya reaches, the jñānakāya reaches; (3) because the jñānakāya reaches, the great vow reaches; (4) because the great vow reaches, the articles of offering and roots of goodness reach; (5) then seeing the Buddhas and hearing [the Dharma] reaches; (6) then manifesting bodies and awakening [beings] reaches; (7) then reaching without coming or going; (8) then being able to reach without departing from a single pore; (9) then a single body and single hair reaching equally to all bodies and hairs; (10) then a single thought reaching equally to all kalpas. If precisely setting forth their particular essence, it takes the roots of goodness in making offerings to Buddhas and the mind of resolute faith as essence; in general, it encompasses the dharmadhātu.
