29.9

五十三施國所有乃至王位。初施行中，先明事捨、後「於諸」下明其心捨。自在是總，下十句別。現棄萬乘，猶如脫屣，何繫縛哉。餘義見〈十藏品〉。

Fifty-three: Giving all possessions of the kingdom up to the royal throne. In the initial practice of giving, first one clarifies phenomenal relinquishment; next, from "toward all" onward, one clarifies mental relinquishment. Mastery is the general, and the ten lines below are the specific. Abandoning ten thousand chariots right now as if taking off a pair of worn-out sandals—what fetter could there be?
