The second major section, from "Bodhisattva" onwards, is the fruit of the station, divided into three: first, marking the cause of attainment; next, from "fully accomplishing" onwards, listing that which is attained; third, from "such as these" onwards, concluding the marks of attainment. In the second part, three kinds of fulfillment of fruit are briefly revealed: first, fulfillment of the benefits of cause and fruit; second, from "in thought-instant after thought-instant" onwards, fulfillment of the mastery of seeing the Buddha. First there is a general marking, and then from "that is to say" onwards a specific explanation; all take the essence and function, noumenon and measure, as simply unobstructed—this is the Buddha's mastery. Third, from "furthermore attains" onwards, is the fulfillment of the pure fruit, because through purifying the obstacle of afflictions, one sees the purity of the nature. This also first marks and then lists from "that is to say" onwards, the text being evident and knowable. Third concludes the marks of that which can attain. "Equanimity" refers to being free of the knower and the known. The rest is all easy to understand. The prose is now finished; the verse text follows below.
