32.17

頌中，初偈頌標請、後偈頌釋請，略不頌結。頌釋中長行法中無究竟之言，而喻中有，今此反前欲顯具有。又法中明本能生末，合中明末依於本，皆影略耳。

In the verses, the first verse versifies the initial request, and the second verse versifies the explanation of the request, omitting the versification of the conclusion. In versifying the explanation, the prose passage on the Dharma has no mention of 'ultimate', whereas it is present in the metaphor; here, reversing the preceding, it wishes to show that both are fully present. Furthermore, in the Dharma it is clarified that the root can produce the branches, while in the application it is clarified that the branches rely on the root; both complement each other by implication.
