42.6

第二「佛子菩薩復起」下，約通明自在隨物現化。文中三：一隨機現化。於中，初標能化智、次「所謂」下明所知機。有三句：一知身類不同故、二知隨身宜用方便異故、三生何等界能利生故。後「隨其」下正明隨化。雖言現身，意在生處，故屬器界。二「此菩薩於一三千」下明化分齊。三「此菩薩成就」下明現自在，謂不動而遍，猶月入百川。

Second, from "Bodhisattvas, O Sons of the Buddha, further arise" onward, explains manifesting transformations according to creatures in terms of mastery through supernatural penetrations. In the text there are three: 1. Manifesting transformations according to capacity. Herein, first is stated the wisdom capable of transforming; next, from "That is to say" onward, explains the capacities known. There are three clauses: 1. knowing the diversity of the types of bodies; 2. knowing the difference in expedient means appropriate for each body; 3. knowing in what kind of world being born can benefit sentient beings. Finally, from "In accordance with their" onward, it directly explains transforming in accordance. Although it speaks of manifesting bodies, the intention lies in the place of birth; therefore it belongs to the container realm. 2. From "This bodhisattva, in a trichiliocosm" onward, explains the scope of transformation. 3. From "This bodhisattva accomplishes" onward, explains mastery of manifestation, meaning being unmoving yet pervasive, like the moon entering a hundred rivers.
