Ninth, from "Bodhisattvas, as for the Tathāgata's body..." onward, essence is free from the two extremes. If the body were substantial, being existent, it could not be extinguished; if the body were empty, how could it arise and cease? If it had a location, appearing here it would be absent there; because it is not substantial, arising and cessation are not fixed. Because it is not empty, it can leave nothing unmanifest; because it has no location, it takes form wherever there is resonance. By the power of original vows, conversion pervades the dharmadhātu; according to receptivity to deliverance, what is seen is different.
