55.22

今初，有三句。初文殊自往福城，以機尚微故、未發心故、大悲深故。二德雲已去，善財往求，機漸勝故、已發心故、顯重法故。三末後普賢知識不就、善財不往，顯法界位滿，無來去故。

Now for the first, there are three clauses. First, Mañjuśrī went to the City of Blessings himself, because their capacities were still subtle, they had not yet aroused the aspiration [for bodhi], and his great compassion was deep. Second, from Meghasvara onward, Sudhana went to seek them, because his capacity gradually became superior, he had already aroused the aspiration, and to demonstrate respect for the Dharma. Third, at the very end, with the spiritual friend Samantabhadra, neither did he approach nor did Sudhana go, revealing that the stations of the dharmadhātu are complete and there is no coming or going.
