Fifth, pointing out the next spiritual friend. As for the land being named Three Eyes (Trinetra): giving is the foremost of practices, and it also opens and guides oneself and others, like eyes guiding the other faculties; thus it is named 'eyes'. Giving of material goods without attachment accomplishes the wisdom eye; giving of fearlessness accomplishes the eye of benevolence; giving of Dharma opens the Dharma eye; hence it is again called 'three'. Utilizing the aforementioned three eyes, nothing seen is not wholesome. Furthermore, the practice of giving is inwardly accomplished and superior rewards are outwardly manifested, so that all who see it are wholesome; because this practice transcends the [ten] abodes, it is expressed by 'leaving home'. Moreover, its practice fundamentally causes beings to attain emancipation. The explanation of the ten abodes above is concluded.
