57.52

第二「既至彼」下見敬諮問。見在海岸者，若佛法海，以生死為此岸，不捨生死故；若生死海，以大悲修因而為此岸，住大慈悲令離因故。

Second, below "Having arrived there," seeing, paying respect, and inquiring. As for seeing him on the seashore: if it is the ocean of the Buddha's teachings, it takes birth and death as this shore, because it does not abandon birth and death; if it is the ocean of birth and death, it takes the cultivation of causes with great compassion as this shore, abiding in great loving-kindness and compassion to cause them to be freed from causes.
