第五「於此南」下指示後友中，先長行、後偈頌。以大悲菩薩眾尊重故，偏加於頌。言海上有山者，大悲隨順入生死海，而住涅槃山故。即南印度之南。

Fifth, from "To the south of here" downward, in pointing toward the subsequent friend, prose comes first and verse comes afterward. Because the assembly of great compassion bodhisattvas is deeply revered, verses are added particularly. Saying "there is a mountain on the sea" is because great compassion complies with entering the ocean of saṃsāra, while abiding on the mountain of nirvāṇa. This is to the south of southern India.
