Ninth, "entering the Buddha's, etc.," is the liberation from names and marks. The Buddha's wisdom accords with tathatā, which is called entering the quiescent realm. Being quiescent yet able to respond, body and wisdom emit light universally throughout the ten directions. Furthermore, it causes beings to enter the signless, hence tranquil; and to enter the nameless, hence quiescent. In the tenth, this heavenly king's name is slightly inverted compared to the earlier enumeration. Earlier he was named Extreme Vigour Famous Light (Jijingjin Mingcheng Guang). There are many instances of this throughout the texts, whether due to variations in names while preserving the meaning, or discrepancies between expansive and abbreviated renderings; these are all merely due to the translators not harmonizing them well. As for the dharma gate named "abiding in one's own, etc.," this is the liberation gate that is free from the marks of dual grasping and able to benefit oneself and others. "The place of one's own awakening" means freedom from the perceived and the perceiver, where noble wisdom of self-awakening constantly manifests before one. "And by means of the boundless, etc.," means taking the boundless dharmadhātu as object, delivering boundless sentient beings, and attaining vast bodhi.
