第二明第四禪廣果天。長行十法中：一普觀等者，此應根授法，明於不知根說法無果障中得解脫也，斷疑生信是說法果故。謂觀機識病稱根說法，藥病無謬故疑除疾愈。

Second, explaining the Bṛhatphala devas of the fourth dhyāna. Among the ten dharmas in the prose: first, "universally contemplating, etc.," is bestowing the Dharma in accordance with capacities, explaining the attainment of liberation from the obstruction of preaching the Dharma without fruit due to not knowing capacities; severing doubt and producing faith is the fruit of preaching the Dharma. This means contemplating capacities and recognizing illnesses to preach the Dharma according to faculties; because medicine and disease do not mismatch, doubts are removed and illnesses are cured.
