三宗趣者，亦二：一分宗。三分正宗，已如上說。四分之宗，即以佛果無邊剎海具三世間無盡自在，故以為宗；令諸菩薩發生淨信修行涉求，以之為趣。二品宗者，以光相表示為宗，令上智玄悟為趣。

Third, the core theme and purpose: this also has two parts: 1. The core theme of the division. The core theme of the core section among the three divisions is already as stated above. The core theme of the [first of the] four divisions takes the boundless sea of kṣetras of the Buddha's fruition, endowed with the inexhaustible mastery over the three realms of existence, as its core theme; and it takes causing all bodhisattvas to generate pure faith, engage in cultivation, and seek [this state] as its purpose. 2. The core theme of the chapter: it takes indication through light and marks as its core theme, and takes causing those of superior wisdom to attain profound awakening as its purpose.
