Fifteenth, regarding the giving of utensils, the text has four [parts]. First, within the practice of giving there are three: 1. the objects given; 2. from 'or giving' onward, revealing the giving with respect to the field [of merit]—the noble saṅgha encompasses the three vehicles; 3. from 'in such ways' onward, perfecting the pāramitā. Second, from 'the bodhisattva' onward, it explains the ten vows of the practice of pariṇāmanā: 1. vast, 2. deep, 3. high, 4. firm, 5. supreme, 6. pure, 7. fruitional, 8. compassionate, 9. perfuming hearing and receiving the teaching, 10. being the leader who integrates the Dharma. However, upon giving a single utensil one immediately gives rise to many vows; it is not necessarily that a single utensil corresponds to only one vow. Third, the conclusion, and fourth, what is intended, can be known [accordingly] (From here onward enters Fascicle Twenty-Six).
