Fourth, explaining the text. The one chapter is divided into two: first, an extensive exposition in prose; later, a general summary in gāthās. Although among the verses there are the verses of the tenth stage, because afterwards there are verses of general summary, and earlier there are passages that conclude and universalize [the teaching], they are therefore outlined according to textual convenience, while the intermediate verses are subsumed under their respective stages.
