Fifth, directing to the subsequent spiritual friend, divided into two: first, pointing to the subsequent station, as will be explained later; next, praising the preceding Dharma, reiterating it at the time of departure. There are thirty-one verses divided into three: the first one generally reveals that bodhisattvas benefit sentient beings, praising in advance that those who see them above do not do so in vain, and generating the benefit below of a woman's passionate mind. The next fifteen verses explain matters from distant kalpas ago, which are absent in the prose. The prose discusses the true, pure generation of the mind, dealing only with the virtuous woman; here it gathers her mixed good, thus recounting distant conditions to use the coarse to illustrate the wondrous. The last fifteen verses directly praise the causes and conditions of the virtuous woman in the prose.
