10.27

疏「法性不違法相等故」者，等字等於餘文。具云法性不違相、法相不違性，生不違法性、法性不違生。此兩對明事理無違，相不違性、生不違性，自屬事能顯理。及第八事法即理門，故但略引性不違相一句。即第二十九經。

Regarding the Commentary's 'because dharmatā does not contradict the characteristics of phenomena, and so on': the word 'and so on' stands for the rest of the text. Fully stated, it says: 'Dharmatā does not contradict characteristics, and the characteristics of phenomena do not contradict nature; arising does not contradict dharmatā, and dharmatā does not contradict arising.' These two pairs clarify that phenomena and principle do not contradict each other. Characteristics not contradicting nature, and arising not contradicting nature, naturally belong to phenomena being able to reveal principle and the eighth gate of phenomenal dharmas being identical to principle; hence it merely cites briefly the single line 'nature does not contradict characteristics.' This is in the twenty-ninth fascicle.
