11.33

次正釋文。第一門即異體門。於中有四：初正釋；次「若雜亂」下反成；三「此則諸緣」下結示；四「文云」下引證，即〈光明覺品〉。更下半云「如是二俱捨，普入佛功德。」上半即相成並立義，下半形奪兩亡義。今非下半形奪之義，故不引之。然由相成，方各有體。

Next, directly explaining the text. The first gate is the gate of distinct essences. Within it there are four: first, the direct explanation; next, from "If they are confused" downward, proving it through the opposite; third, from "This means that the various conditions" downward, concluding and indicating; fourth, from "The text says" downward, citing scriptural evidence, which is the "Chapter on Awakening through Light". The latter half of the verse further says: "Renouncing both in this way, / One universally enters the Buddha's merits." The upper half is the meaning of mutual accomplishment and simultaneous establishment, while the lower half is the meaning of mutual eclipse and mutual cessation. Here it is not the meaning of mutual eclipse of the lower half, so it is not cited. However, only by virtue of mutual accomplishment do they each have essence.
