On the Commentary's passage starting from "The remaining meanings and the remaining propositions": second, by analogy, looking from the many toward the one. This is also completely identical to what was in the preceding gate of mutual entrance of different essences. As for "the remaining meanings," this refers to what was explained above: the fundamental one, looking toward the manifold ones, has supporting and being supported, full potency and impotence, and therefore can constantly contain the manifold ones within its own one, and secretly enter the fundamental one into the manifold ones, without any obstruction. Now, clarifying that the manifold ones, looking toward the fundamental one, also have full potency and impotence, and therefore can constantly contain the fundamental one within the manifold ones, and secretly enter the manifold ones within the fundamental one, also without obstruction. Hence it says "the remaining meanings." As for "the remaining propositions," they are "both preserved," "both eliminated," the four propositions, and the six propositions; being analogous to the preceding different essences, they are not redundantly explained.
