12.37

疏「剎土眾生本十身之正體」者，第三明即事是能說人，何但顯法。剎土即國土身，眾生即眾生身，十身略舉其二，以二是劣尚即十身，況餘勝者。「于何非教」者，正結成也。尚即能說，況非教體。

Regarding the commentary's "Lands and sentient beings are fundamentally the authentic essence of the ten bodies": third is clarifying that phenomena themselves are the persons capable of preaching, so how could it merely manifest the Dharma? Lands are the land body, and sentient beings are the sentient being body. The ten bodies are briefly illustrated by these two: since these two, which are inferior, are already the ten bodies, how much more so the remaining superior ones! "Where is it not the teaching?" directly concludes. If they are already capable of preaching, how much more so are they the essence of the teaching!
