疏「又於有為」下，第二辨教功能。於中有五：一總顯功能、二廣顯所破、三舉正折邪、四指廣從略、五結功超勝。今初。因緣能破無因，正因以破邪因。

In the Commentary, from "Furthermore, regarding the conditioned" onward, is the second: discerning the function of the teaching. Herein there are five: first, generally revealing the function; second, broadly revealing what is refuted; third, adducing the correct to shatter the heterodox; fourth, pointing to the broad while following the abridged; fifth, concluding the merit as supremely surpassing. Now, the first. Causes and conditions can refute causelessness; correct causes refute heterodox causes.
