14.33

疏「此則攝一總題」下，第二顯其包含。「方」字兩用，向上則大方，大方無隅即法界故。向下方廣，業用是緣起法界故。故云法界總該前二。

Regarding the Commentary's passage starting from "This then subsumes the entire general title": this is the second [point], revealing its comprehensiveness. The character fang (方) has a twofold usage: directed upward, it is dafang (大方); the great square has no corners, which is the dharmadhātu. Directed downward, it is fangguang (方廣); functional activity is the dharmadhātu of conditioned arising. Therefore it says that the dharmadhātu generally encompasses both of the preceding.
