疏「二明流類」等，疏文有二：先正明是類非本部之支派、後或是別行彰有支義。古德見今經所無，將為流類。本部來既未盡，是此別行，復何可定？多聞闕疑，故云未敢詳定。

Regarding the commentary's phrase “Second, explaining kindred types,” and so forth: the commentary's text has two parts: first, correctly explaining that these are types and not offshoots of the main corpus; and second, explaining that perhaps they are independently circulating texts showing that there is a sense of being a branch. Ancient worthies, seeing what was absent from the present sūtra, considered them to be kindred types. Since the transmission of the main corpus was not yet complete, how could one determine whether these were its independently circulating portions? The widely learned set aside their doubts; therefore it is said, “one does not presume to determine this in detail.”
