16.59

第九攝歸一心者，於中二：先指前總明，謂上八門已是一心上說，故云上來諸門不離一心。而諸禪流皆欲棄文而修觀行，故復接之以辯此門。

Regarding the ninth, subsuming into the one mind, there are two parts within it: first, pointing to what preceded to explain generally, meaning that the preceding eight gates are already expounded upon the one mind, hence it says that the preceding gates do not depart from the one mind. Yet the various practitioners of Chan all wish to discard the text to cultivate contemplation practice, so this gate is further introduced to discern this.
