17.72

疏「或如來重說」者，《報恩經》第六明阿難佛命為侍者，阿難從佛請求三願：一者不受佛故衣、二者不受佛別請、三者所未聞法更請重說。如來將入涅槃前，更為阿難重說。

Regarding the commentary’s statement, “or the Tathāgata preached them again”: the Bao’en jing, Fascicle 6, explains that when the Buddha appointed Ānanda as his attendant, Ānanda requested three boons from the Buddha: first, not to accept the Buddha's used robes; second, not to accept separate invitations for the Buddha; third, to request the Buddha to preach again the Dharma teachings he had not yet heard. Before the Tathāgata was about to enter nirvāṇa, he preached them again for Ānanda.
