疏「三約實圓融」，即賢首國師意。於中四：初正釋。二「應機出現」下立理。謂若機熟，不應便為失人；未熟而應，虛心有待。二俱失時。

The commentary's 'Third, perfect interpenetration in terms of the real' represents National Preceptor Xianshou's intent. Within this, there are four points: First, the direct explanation. Second, beginning with 'appearing in response to faculties', establishing the principle: if faculties are ripe, one should not fail the person; if one responds before they are ripe, one's empty mind awaits in vain—in both cases the time is missed.
