18.40

疏「平等性智證平等性」者，論云「謂此心品觀一切法自他有情皆悉平等，大慈悲等恒共相應，隨諸眾生所樂，示現受用身土影像差別。」既云自他有情皆悉平等，即是所觀平等，故云證平等性。

On the commentary's "the equality-nature cognition realizes the equality-nature": the treatise states, "This mental associate contemplates all phenomena, oneself and other sentient beings, as entirely equal, is constantly associated with great loving-kindness and compassion and so on, and according to what various sentient beings delight in, manifests the distinct reflection-images of enjoyment bodies and lands." Since it says that oneself and other sentient beings are entirely equal, this is precisely equality in the object contemplated; hence it says, "realizes the equality-nature."
