18.46

疏「二其身下身業」等者，疏文有二：先總明、後「法身普周」下別釋。於中二：先隨相各別遍、二圓融總攝遍。今初。「且寄三身以明」下，明攝十以為三故。今明法身本體遍，智身修成如體而遍，色身即體之用遍；法身如虛空遍，智身如日光遍，色身如日影遍。

Regarding the commentary's "Second, 'Its body...' below is the bodily karma" and so forth: the text of the commentary has two parts: first, clarifying generally; later, from "the dharmakāya pervasively encompasses" downward, explaining individually. In that, there are two parts: first, individual pervasiveness according with characteristics; second, pervasiveness completely fused and generally subsuming. Now, the first. From "provisionally resorting to the three bodies to clarify" downward: this clarifies that it subsumes the ten to make three. Now it clarifies that the dharmakāya's original essence is pervasive, the jñānakāya is perfected through cultivation and is pervasive according with the essence, and the rūpakāya is the pervasive functioning of the essence; the dharmakāya is pervasive like empty space, the jñānakāya is pervasive like sunlight, and the rūpakāya is pervasive like the sun's reflection.
