19.8

疏「及隨諸眾各有別因」者，即下經文隨名歎德。然上所引即是其文。然經隨便宜，歎德不同。如風神云「散滅我慢之心」，語其大意。總此十因，遍通多眾，故此別說隨眾別因。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "And according to the various assemblies, each has its specific cause": this refers to the subsequent scripture text praising their virtues according to their names. However, what was cited above is indeed its text. Yet the scripture, according to what is appropriate, praises virtues differently. As with the wind spirits, saying "disperse and destroy the mind of egoistic pride" expresses the general idea. Summarizing these ten causes, they apply universally to many assemblies; therefore, here it specifically explains the distinct causes according to the respective assemblies.
