20.22

疏「又依體起用」等者，第二雙約體用說也。依體起用故是去，以即體之用故不去。應機現前合是來，以應不離體，如月之影，故不來。

Regarding the commentary's "Furthermore, activating function based on essence..." and so forth: this is the second, explaining in terms of both essence and function together. Activating function based on essence is therefore going, but because it is function identical with essence, it does not go. Manifesting before [beings] in response to their capacities should be coming, but because the response does not separate from essence—like the reflection of the moon—it does not come.
