20.49

疏「毛孔過空」，疏有三段，說二種過：一如來靈智能證真理，虛空不能證；二如來稱真理空，超過事空，事空即斷滅空故；三「無限理智」下，雙結上二皆不可分。理無分限，智契於理亦無分限。智結靈智、理結真理，既不可分，一毛稱真則重重融攝。此處之空，豈不能攝於餘處之空？

Regarding the commentary's phrase, “A pore surpasses space”: The commentary contains three passages explaining two kinds of surpassing: first, the numinous cognition of the Tathāgata can realize the true principle, whereas empty space cannot realize it; second, the Tathāgata accords with the emptiness of the true principle, surpassing phenomenal space, because phenomenal space is annihilatory emptiness; third, from “boundless principle and cognition” downward, it concludes both together as being indivisible. The principle has no boundaries, and cognition tallying with the principle also has no boundaries. Cognition concludes the numinous cognition, and principle concludes the true principle; since they cannot be divided, a single pore according with the truth involves layer upon layer of fusion and integration. How could the space of this place not encompass the space of other places?
