疏「眾生諂佞自不修德」者，《詩》云「內有進賢之志，而無譣詖之心。」《蒼頡篇》曰「詖，謂諂佞也。」
Regarding the commentary's "Sentient beings are flatteringly deceitful and do not cultivate virtue themselves": The Shijing says, "Inwardly possessing the aspiration to advance the worthy, yet without a flattering or dishonest mind." The Cangjie pian states, "*Bi* means flattering and deceitful."
