As for the commentary's "six mutually subsuming," etc., the commentary's text has two parts: first, generally explaining how the ten mutually subsume one another; second, explaining how the six and the ten mutually subsume each other. In the first part, there are three sections: first, a general explanation; next, below "Prajñā-śāstra," citing proof; third, harmonizing with the present intention. In the second section, it first cites the Prajñā[-śāstra] and then cites the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa. In the former, the phrase "resources, fearlessness, Dharma, etc.," includes the lower half of the verse: "Herein, one, two, and three are called the abode of cultivation." Giving has three kinds: 1. wealth, 2. fearlessness, and 3. giving of Dharma. Wealth is resources, which is precisely the dāna-pāramitā; hence it says "herein, one." Fearlessness subsumes two: śīla not afflicting others, and patience enduring their affliction, both being the characteristics of fearlessness; hence it says "two." Giving of Dharma subsumes three: vigor, meditation, and wisdom. The path of definitive excellence and the gradual maturation of Buddha-dharmas are the characteristics of the giving of Dharma; hence it says "three." This is the abode of cultivation among the eighteen abodes. Third, below "now, the text of this sūtra," harmonizes and explains the present intention. Because this is the Perfect Teaching, it does not merely require being in accord or belonging to the same category; because principle is harmonious and fused, of itself one [practice] subsumes all practices.
