22.43

疏「得妙觀察平等性智故」者，由破分別我執，第七不與四惑相應，成平等性。已證真如，於多百門已得自在，成妙觀察。未捨異熟識體，不得大圓鏡智。異熟既存，眼等五根是異熟生故，亦未得成所作智。此二直至佛果方得。

Regarding the commentary's "because of attaining the cognition of wonderful observation and the cognition of equality": by destroying the conceptual grasping of self, the seventh [consciousness] is not associated with the four afflictions, accomplishing equality. Having already realized tathatā, one has obtained mastery over many hundreds of gates, accomplishing wonderful observation. Because one has not yet abandoned the substance of the ripely maturing consciousness, one does not attain the great round mirror cognition. Since the ripely maturing [consciousness] still exists, and the five faculties of the eye and so on are born of ripened maturation, one also has not attained the cognition that accomplishes what is to be done. These two are only attained upon reaching the fruit of Buddhahood.
