23.10

疏「現相五者」下，二釋現相。然五各二句：一句辯相、一句辯意。如一云「現面門光相」者，辯現相也。「召十方眾」者，即彰所以。下四例然。

Regarding the Commentary's passage from "the manifestation of marks has five" downwards: second is the explanation of the manifestation of marks. Each of the five has two clauses: one clause distinguishes the mark, and one clause distinguishes the intent. For instance, the first saying "manifesting the mark of light from the face-gate" distinguishes the manifestation of the mark. "Summoning the assemblies of the ten directions" reveals the reason. The four below follow this pattern.
