25.45

疏「以總收別但廣身光等」者，以三業之總，攝六根之別。言但廣身光等者，等取前光明及音聲智慧。二光為身、音聲屬口、智慧是意，今文並具，故致「等」言，即開三業而為十耳。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Subsuming the specific by means of the general, it merely expands on body, radiance, and so forth": this gathers the specifics of the six sense faculties through the generality of the three modes of karma. The words "merely expands on body, radiance, and so forth" include, by "and so forth," the previously mentioned radiance, voices, and wisdom. The two radiances pertain to body, voices belong to speech, and wisdom is mind. Because the present text possesses all of them, it uses the word "and so forth"; this is simply opening the three modes of karma into ten.
