26.26

疏「然淨有二」下，第二別顯其相。展轉開之，乃成四重，皆以方便為因、清淨為果。第一對中言「以六行為方便」者，謂厭下苦麁障、欣上淨妙離，故以色無色界而為淨土。

Regarding the commentary's "However, purity has two kinds..." and what follows: second, distinctly revealing its characteristics. Unfolding them successively, they form four tiers, all taking upāya as the cause and purity as the result. In the first pair, the phrase "taking the six practices as upāya" means reviling the suffering, coarseness, and obstruction of the lower realms, and delighting in the purity, subtlety, and detachment of the upper realms; thus, taking the form and formless realms as pure lands.
