28.37

疏「以前後例」下，三結釋勸修。如前現華表義、現眾表教，後如十慧說十住、十林說行、十幢說向、十藏說地、〈離世間品〉菩薩萬行寄表甚深。斯為觀心，非是臆斷。不信此理一向外求，如數他寶，故非我分。

Regarding the Commentary's stating, "Drawing analogies from before and after," and so forth: third, concluding the explanation to encourage cultivation. As before, manifesting flowers represented the meaning, and manifesting the assembly represented the teaching; later, as the ten Wisdoms expound the ten abodes, the ten Groves expound the practices, the ten Banners expound the dedications, the ten Treasuries expound the grounds, and the myriad bodhisattva practices in the "Chapter on Transcending the World" are lodged to express the profound. This is the contemplation of the mind, not arbitrary speculation. If one does not believe in this principle and solely seeks outward, it is like counting another's jewels, and thus not one's own lot.
