28.46

疏「三尺」等者，三尺之身，即瞿師羅長者所見。丈六應身無邊，即無邊身菩薩，窮上界而有餘。準〈十定品〉，或見如來一由旬量、百千由旬，乃至不可說不可說佛剎微塵數世界量。略等去中間，故云乃至無邊。

Regarding the commentary's statement, "Three spans" and so forth: the three-span body was what the elder Ghoṣila saw. The boundless sixteen-foot responsive body refers to Boundless Body Bodhisattva, who exhausted the upper realms and yet found more above. According to the chapter "Ten Concentrations," one might see the Tathāgata as measuring one yojana, hundreds of thousands of yojanas, or even the measure of unspeakably unspeakable Buddha-realm dust-mote numbers of worlds. It abbreviates by omitting the intermediate numbers, and thus says "up to boundless."
