29.24

疏「愛見」等者，愛見羅剎，前已釋竟。二地經云「身見羅剎於中執取，將其永入愛欲稠林。」言「妄體本空故無可取」者，由二義，一段前名執取、後名無所取，義似相違故。

Regarding the commentary's "craving and views..." etc.: the rākṣasas of craving and views have already been explained above. The sūtra on the second bhūmi says: "The rākṣasa of personality view grasps onto them therein, leading them forever into the dense forest of craving and desire." As for "because the essence of delusion is originally empty, there is nothing to be grasped": this is due to two meanings, one of which resolves the apparent contradiction between previously calling it "grasping" and subsequently calling it "having nothing to be grasped."
