Regarding the commentary's "sixth, one stanza concluding generally": it concludes generally the five sections, causing one to be free from subject and object. Regarding "it also closely concludes the preceding two stanzas": this is because the characteristics of subject and object are prominent. It first clarifies the preceding stanza, and from "moreover, contemplating all" onward it clarifies the subsequent stanza. With the contemplation of mental verbalisation, even if one attains reality as it is, subject and object still exist, which is why it is called "not yet discarded". A stanza on applied preparation states: "If one sets up some small thing before oneself, / Thinking it to be the nature of consciousness-only, / Because there is something apprehended, / One does not truly abide in consciousness-only." Thus it is merely an upāya for consciousness-only; only upon attaining the stage of penetration (nirvedhabhāgīya / darśanamārga) does one enter mind-only.
