疏「朝中嚼楊枝，淨穢不相雜」，此兩句語全是無行禪師於西域寄歸之書，《南海寄歸傳》亦廣說之。
Regarding the Commentary's phrase "chewing the tooth-wood in the morning, purity and impurity do not mingle": these two lines are entirely taken from the letter sent back from the Western Regions by Chan Master Wuxing, and are also explained in detail in the Record of the Western Ocean Sent Back from the South Seas.
