疏「若約一佛十事」下，二揀濫也。恐人誤謂一佛一因而有多果，故為此揀。明此是多佛同修一因，何以見果種種差別耳。一佛證一而果異者，如前已明。謂文殊問德首云：「如來所悟唯是一法，云何乃說無量諸法、現無量剎、化無量眾生」等，故云德首已明。

Regarding the Commentary's statement starting with "If considered in terms of one Buddha and the ten matters": second, it distinguishes [the true meaning] to prevent confusion. Fearing that people might mistakenly think that one Buddha with a single cause comes to possess manifold fruits, this distinction is made. It clarifies that this refers to multiple Buddhas cultivating the single cause together—why, then, are various differences seen in their fruits? As for one Buddha realizing the one while the fruits are different, this has already been clarified previously; that is, Mañjuśrī asked Guṇaśirṣa: "What the Tathāgata awakens to is only a single Dharma; why then does he preach immeasurable teachings, manifest immeasurable lands, and transform immeasurable sentient beings?" and so forth; hence it says that Guṇaśirṣa had already clarified it.
