35.4

疏「得人」下，引經證成。初即《涅槃》第二十八。「不知恩者多遭橫死」，即此經四十八〈隨好品〉。「故經云」下，三引他經（月藏分）。先一偈具足經文。「唯自利」下，取意引。彼亦一偈，云「唯有傳持正法藏，宣揚教理施群生，修習一念契真如，即是真報如來者。」會意可知。

The Commentary's passage from "Obtaining human..." downward cites sūtras to corroborate and establish it. The first is from Fascicle 28 of the Nirvāṇa Sūtra. "Those who do not know kindness often meet with untimely death" is from Chapter 48, "Accompanying Marks," of this sūtra. The passage from "Therefore the sūtra says" downward thirdly cites another sūtra (the Candragarbha section). First, one verse fully cites the sūtra text. From "Only self-benefit" downward, it cites the general idea. That is also one verse, which says: "Only transmitting and upholding the treasury of the true Dharma, proclaiming the teachings and principles to bestow them upon the multitudes of beings, and cultivating a single thought that accords with tathatā—this is truly repaying the Tathāgata." Understanding the intended meaning, it can be known.
