36.42

疏「今顯正義」下，第三申今正解。有法、喻、結，文顯可知。疏「古德釋此略有十義」下，第四會取古釋。於中二：先正序、後「然此十解前五玄門」下為其會通。於中又二：先總會，意明古德所立，文則雜亂，義則無違。

It has doctrine, metaphor, and conclusion; the text is evident and can be known. Regarding the commentary's passage, "Ancient worthies, in explaining this, broadly had ten meanings..." onward: this is the fourth, integrating and adopting ancient explanations. Within this, there are two: first, correctly recounting them; afterward, from "However, among these ten explanations, the first five are the profound gates..." onward, it integrates them. Within this, there are again two: first, a general integration, intending to clarify that in what the ancient worthies established, the text was jumbled, but the meaning contained no contradiction.
